Melcom and Hollard Insurance Partner to Offer One-Year Free Insurance on Samsung Products

Melcom Limited, Ghana’s leading retail chain, has teamed up with Hollard Insurance to provide customers with one-year free insurance coverage on Samsung products purchased from Melcom stores nationwide.

This insurance protects a wide range of Samsung products valued above GH¢2,000, including televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, mobile phones, sound devices, and microwaves—against theft, fire, electrical surges, screen damage, and other unforeseen incidents.

Ramesh Sadhwani, Managing Director of Melcom Limited, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting the initiative as part of Melcom’s commitment to delivering exceptional value and peace of mind to customers.

Lucas Lee, Managing Director of Samsung Electronics, also welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the added layer of protection it offers consumers in Ghana.

The coverage, valid for one year from the purchase date, includes labor costs, replacement parts, and repair or replacement of lost, stolen, or damaged products, but excludes accessories. Customers can activate their insurance by dialing the USSD code *899*257# on their mobile phones.
