Digital Marketers’ Conference 2025 Delivers Clear Lessons for Ghana’s Digital Future

The first Digital Marketers’ Conference 2025 took place at the Google AI Community Centre in Accra on Friday, November 28. The event was organised by Denalis Digital and the Marketers and Advertisers Network with support from several partners, including SydCrest Launchpad, which served as a founding sponsor. The conference brought together marketers, analysts, product leads, agency teams and students for a full day of practical learning and open conversations about the state of digital work in Ghana.
A Call for Focus in a Distracted Industry
Stephen Naasei Boadi opened the day with a keynote that set a clear tone. He urged marketers to narrow their focus, study their niches and use AI to increase their output. His message was plain. AI is not a shortcut. It is a tool. Marketers must learn how to shape it and not rely on it to think for them.
Where AI Fits in Modern Marketing
The first panel explored how AI is changing daily work in agencies and in-house teams. Speakers pointed to simple use cases that already make a difference. These include using AI for quick creative drafts, quality control, customer research and small-scale automation. The room aligned on one idea. Marketers who build strong judgement will use AI well. Those who do not will create noise.
Data as a Discipline and Not a Final Step
Alice Mensah led the second panel on data-driven marketing. The discussion stressed the need for teams to treat data as a starting point. Speakers encouraged marketers to collect fewer metrics with more purpose and to link each data point to a clear decision. They shared practical advice on reporting cycles, attribution, and setting benchmarks that reduce guesswork.
SME Growth and the Path to Sustainable Marketing
The third panel focused on SME and startup marketing. Many small businesses face the same issues. Limited budgets, slow adoption of tools and a lack of simple processes. Panelists outlined a path that starts with clear positioning, consistent content and smart spending. The group stressed that sustainable growth is possible when small teams follow simple systems.
Breakout Rooms for Practical Skill Building
Four breakout sessions ran at the same time. Participants chose from product marketing, budget management, influencer marketing or case study development. Each session gave room for questions and short exercises. The goal was to help participants translate the morning’s ideas into tangible steps.
Partners Push for Community and Practical Growth
During the partner messages, SydCrest Launchpad and others shared their reasons for supporting the event. SydCrest highlighted its commitment to practical learning and its belief that Ghana’s marketing talent needs stronger pathways into industry. Other partners echoed the need for community and shared learning.
Closing the Day with Clear Takeaways
The final session gave space for reflections. Attendees pointed to the value of hearing candid stories from speakers. Many shared that the event helped them reset their approach to marketing work. The organisers encouraged participants to carry their insights into their teams and to stay connected as the community grows.
The Digital Marketers’ Conference 2025 delivered a simple message. Ghana’s digital industry is ready for more structure, better collaboration and a clear focus on skills. SydCrest and the wider partner network played an important role in shaping that message.
The organisers expect the next edition to build on this foundation.
